I think green tea tastes disgusting but it would be good to know if it’s proven beneficial for anything else and also what, if any, foods ARE proven to help prevent dementia.
Do you have a citation for this statement? "unless you’re boiling the leaves for hours at a time you’re only extracting very small quantities of any chemicals that could potentially have a benefit."
Mushrooms need to be boiled for hours to extract chemicals, but typically leafy herbs give up their chemicals without much effort.
but it has plenty if other health benefits, so maybe mention that. I feel your Substack is becoming another if those aiming to just dismiss anything without double blind, randomised trial data. But as you well know, as you are duly aware of what research gets funded, something like green tea will never be proven to have any benefits.

I drink 6 cups a day so 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Another wonderful reality check. Thank you!
Im pleased to hear this, I've tried sensha and hated it. Also suspicious of single food items which claim to have miraculous effects
I don’t know. Can it. Tell me.
